Unit: metre
Geodetic CRS: LN02 height
Datum: Landesnivellement 1902
Data source: EPSG
Information source: Bundesamt für Landestopografie swisstopo
Revision date: 2025-03-01
Scope: Engineering survey, topographic mapping.
Remarks: Repeated measurements of the national levelling network have shown a relative uplift of the Alps of up to 1.5 millimetres a year with respect to the Central Plateau. LN02 heights exclude gravity reduction. Remains in use as the official height system and is available in the form of continually revised lists. For scientific purposes replaced by LHN95 height (CRS code 5729).
Area of use: Liechtenstein; Switzerland.
Coordinate system: Vertical CS. Axis: height (H). Orientation: up. UoM: m.
