Remarks: Note that the map projection is not suitable for mapping north of 60°N. To cover the entire Canadian landmass a conformal alternative used for the Atlas of Canada and referenced to the Canadian spatial reference system could be used: refer to CRSs codes 3978 and 3979. See also CRS code 10598 for a CRS which is the basis for the equal area continental tiling system for North America used by the GLANCE land cover products.
